Brookings, Oregon Rain Deer

Some of us in the nearby Brookings hill country had a white Christmas this year!  Three rain deer were found temporarily lost and confused in the snow.  They were not used to seeing the white background in Brookings.  Luckily we were able to get them back on their way and Christmas was a success.

Lone Ranch Beach Brookings, Oregon

Brookings, Oregon is located on the Oregon coast approximately 7 miles north of the California border.  Brookings offers a great climate as well as excellent outdoor recreation.  The Chetco River empties into the Pacific Ocean on the Southern border of the city limits.  The Chetco River is well known as a fun place to fish.

There are many public beaches in close proximity to Brookings, Oregon for the family to explore.  Brookings is known as the banana belt of the Oregon Coast.  Salmon Run Golf Course is located just minutes from town.  There are many hiking trails and places to camp and explore.  If you have never been to Brookings, OR then you should check it out.
